DDOE asks for SBAC feedback, and only gives choices that are positive towards the test. Folks, these people are in charge of teaching and learning and allegedly providing direction to schools on how to best yield critical thinkers for our society. #facepalm

Here’s why it sucks:

  1. This is so typical. The survey is written not to elicit honest and accurate feedback, but to suppress it. It’s just about the only type of survey educators are ask to complete.

WORK WITHING THE SCOPE OF YOUR FOCUS. Write your own fair and balanced survey and ask your CDS to fill it out. Speaking of surveys it would have been smart it CDS would have done a community climate survey on a tax increase. The first 2 referendums questions were so off the chart off what the community was willing to accept it ruined any chance for a 3 referendum question. It was not the voter’s fault that the leadership including the school board was out of touch with their community. You need to forget about the DOE and get your own house in order.

Pat, having an opinion on the Department of Education is absolutely irrelevant to the concerns and needs within the district so I agree with all of your Christina points but that does not in anyway mean that I should not be able to offer an opinion on the DOE. If you don’t enjoy my opinion on the DOE you are free to ignore it On Jun 5, 2015 3:45 PM, “Transparent Christina” wrote:
