I defy anyone who attended @GovernorMarkell’s presser on the priority schools to look at the proposed MOU as anything other than a jack-booted takeover. #punintended

Well, John Young, it appears we have the route by which the state takeover will occur… Wonder why the Gov skipped level 2 PZ status and went a new route to Priority. PZ 2 is in code…

Will “School Leader” be a principal or the district turnaround officer? $160,000, huh? Wouldn’t that be about three teachers?

Yep, there will be a School Leader at each Priority school! $160K plus OEC’s, of course. Eats up a nice chunk of the annual split of the Priority money. Haven’t heard about a district turnaround officer. I don’t think we can afford that one, too! If they plan and work really carefully they should be able to construct this whole house of cards so that not a cent reaches one single classroom and not one single kid.

Red Clay has a Turnaround officer ( I think that’s the official title), Amy Grundy. I like your comments, minnehanh!
