The Delaware DOE sets up DelExcels.org which has a blog, solicits comments, gets one (or more) they disagree with, shuts off comments, then tweets to show how they “don’t take” comments???? #censorship #lies

the tweet.

At least two people submitted comments on a COMMENT submission form (https://transparentchristina.wordpress.com/2014/05/15/delexcels-blog-post-and-my-response-in-moderation-of-course-netde-edude/) on the blog. I was one of them and blogged my comment while it was in “moderation”. Needless to say it was never released, and now they shut down comments to all.

Folks, if it isn’t plainly obvious: the DOE and Rodel, and perhaps the Delaware PTA and DSEA, all “partners” in this endeavor, do not want your feedback. They just want their bully pulpit and their megaphone.

Let me know what you think…comments are open!

  1. Doe doesn’t listen to Teachers. They have made that quite clear. They humor us by having those county conversations with Murphy. They are just to make us think they are listing… No way. they want education to run their way and it isn’t working… They better hurry up and get back to “real”
education We are running out of time…

  2. Of course they turned off comments. What was amazing was it wasn’t done at the beginning. But with the botched rollouts of every thing else reformers have done, one should have predicted that comments would be turned off, as soon as they realized people were taking issue with all they were proposing…..

Just read Indian Rivers superintendent’s struggle to defend Common Core…. They had amazing results before Common Core. Curious as to how Common Core will impact their progress…..
