Today, Senator DeLuca littered the mailboxes of the 11th District with, not 1, not 2, but 3 campaign pieces. He is a desperate candidate. While he’s passing off protecting voters from predatory payday loans that he neither sponsorednorVOTED out of committee, he has the temerity to suggest that Mr. Townsend’s voting record of electing leaders vis-a-vis his participation in a primary and a general 4 and 6 years ago, when the outcomes were all but certain is somehow connected to how he would represent the people of the 11th. It’s one thing to be the incumbent and to tell the truth about your role in helping Delawareans, but to pass this drivel off on us as your constituents and donors in some cases is a very poor reflection of your character, Senator.
I know for a fact you were advised to take the high road and ignore your opponent. Apparently, that’s no longer an option (but for the record, you probably should have listened). Showing me pictures of Mr. Townsend drinking coffee from his invite to a community coffee just reminds me, when have you ever invited any of us out to hear what we think? I can answer that for myself: NEVER. Clearly, you have crossed the line from high road into gutter attack mode in 5 days flat. Congratulations Senator, we did get to see your true colors. I appreciate your honesty, your paranoia is not only confirmed by your carpet bombing litter drop, but the degree to which you took your whack today tells the truth of this battle. I’m not much of a political analyst, but I think Townsend is winning the battle for hearts and minds while you have won the battle of filling up my garbage can today. Thanks to Labor Day, trash day in my neighborhood is tomorrow…just in time.

If I saw correctly he is taking credit for no land development at 273 and Baltimore Pike. I am pretty sure I definitely heard out of Valero development a lot of resentment that he was NOT helping them. They got it done with a lot of extra hard work over his inaction……. Don’t take my word for it, just ask his old neighbors……
