A very interesting question was asked last night by PCHS Vice President, Dr. Abraham Jones. #PCHS #netDE
He asked that PCHS released the disaggregated data on summer school participants.
For those not in edu-babble circles, he is asking the school to reveal the racial makeup of summer school, offered as remediation for poor performance in the normal school year. It would be easy to assume he has a concern, so let’s see if PCHS will release this information and we can see if any particular subgroup of students is over represented in summer school at PCHS.

Yes, let’s see if it’s readily available, too. While you’re fishing around for that data, grab the data on the five (5) seniors who didn’t graduate. Let’s see if they have anything in common….other than being seniors who didn’t graduate….
I know my son is in summer school suffering through Chemistry which he failed first semester. And I am aware of one senior who did not receive his diploma and is also in summer school. Both are young men of color. That’s two. Sorry I can’t help with the rest.
Molly, do you mind if I ask what grade your son will be going into this coming fall?
He will be a senior.
“edu-babble circles” HA, now that’s funny. Really I like that term, am I in one now?
Yes, and have been for some time. Pencader is Baptism by fire!
lol
Your laughing again? The irony!
Oh, my goodness. Your not making a joke now are you? Wow. That’s hypocritical….(see your post on “Anyone get the feeling no one knows where the money is”)
